Finally made it to "THE PRESENT MOMENT CAFE" in St. Augustine

So, in a nut shell:  GO!  (It is worth the trip).

Very classy quaint cafe off of W. King Street.  As their website says:  "It is an opportunity to be good to your body, mind, soul and planet.

You will be offered a wonderful menu of delicious organic and unprocessed food that remains just as nature has intended. All of their menu items are rich in flavor, live enzymes and nutrients while remaining gluten-free, heart-healthy and diabetic friendly".

Each table comes a carafe of purified water with cucumber and lemon

My friend Robin and I took on the lunch sampler which included a very generous serving of:

Miso soup - Served warm with shitake mushrooms, and coconut udon noodles, garnished with diced green onion, & red pepper.

Kale Avocado Salad - kale salad massaged with red pepper, avocado, tomato, lemon garlic-olive oil and topped with candied pecans.

Tacos of Life - Pine nut-chili and walnut puree, fresh salsa, guacamole in 2 romaine shells topped with
Coconut “Sour Cream” and Jalapeno vinaigrette.

Creamy White Truffle Pesto Pasta Fresh zucchini pasta tossed with our pesto and sun cured tomatoes finished with pine nut “parmesan”. Served with our spring mix salad.

All was TOTALLY delicious!

We topped our brunch off with decadent desserts

Chocolate Marble Torte with Drunken Banana – Raw cacao torte with a kiss of chili and spice, completed with rum poached bananas.

Walnut Cinnamon Cake - with luscious cream cheese and candied pecan icing (this was superb, worth the trip to St. Augustine all by itself!

Cacao Ice cream (made with cashews) and brownies.

There are regular desserts on the menu.  However, the cinnamon walnut cake is not a regular, it was a daily special...but you can call ahead and find out what the special dessert is.
