LuLu's

This chocolate bar caught my eye simply because it reminded me of my mother (who passed away last year).  Her name was Lulu-belle and boy did she love chocolate!
This bar contains 13% Maca (go here if you want more info on maca - http://www.macaroot.com/) and 62% Cacao.  It is handcrafted raw chocolate with low glycemic coconut sugar.

Here are the ingredients:  Certified organic Ecuadorian Cacao, Coconut Palm sugar, wildcrafted maca, mesquite, vanilla bean and sea salt...oh yeah...and LOVE!

Pico De Gallo tortilla chips

"How could something that taste so good...
 be so.. real?"

These tortilla chips could possibly be the best corn chips on the planet!  I kid you not!!

These chips add a little spice to the organic white corn tortilla chips, balancing out the  heat of ripe jalepenos and spices, with the fresh cilantro and tomatoes...the chips are a snack that lives up to there name!

Here are the Ingredients:Organic White Corn, Expeller Pressed Canola Oil and/or Safflower Oil and/or Sunflower Oil, Salt, Dehydrated Cilantro, Spices, Tomato Powder, Dehydrated Jalapeno, Onion Powder, Dehydrated Bell Peppers, Garlic Powder, Citric Acid, Extractives of Paprika.

If you took notice - there is NO SALT yet these chips are totally satisfying.  I don't even think about salt, or the lack of while I'm crunching on these babies.  They have a very nice corn taste and they are thick, which I LOVE!  I actually feel like I'm biting into a "real" chip!  And with all the organic ingredients they are as real as it gets!

WARNING:  Open the bag when you have company - otherwise you just might eat the whole bag all by yourself!!
And guess where they are made?....the good ole USA!!!

Hormel Turkey Chili

This is a new FAVORITE of mine.  I have tried it on top of hash browns, I've tried it with a veggie hot dog, on a baked potato and by itself and I absolutely love it!  For a canned turkey chili, this is the best I've tried!

Cafe Gratitude Cookies

If you live on the west coast you have probably heard about Cafe Gratitude.  I cannot wait until they venture to the east coast.  I am already a fan!

Cafe Gratitude uses all organic ingredients and environmental earth friendly practices in producing food and products for their cafes and online orders.
Love this statement that I found on their website
"Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food."-Hippocrates

I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I was to get these cookies in the mail!  On this journey to better my health, well I cannot leave out dessert!  I'm so excited to learn new ways to make desserts that I do not have to feel guilty about and have nutritional value in them.  I'm starting to experiment with "rawfood" and came across Cafe Gratitude while researching online.  I decided to treat myself to some "raw" cookies.

I ordered the Lemon Coconut, the thumbprint (fruit is seasonal flavor, mine was strawberry) and Chocolate Fudge.  Right now I have to say that the Lemon Coconut and Chocolate Fudge are running neck and neck for first place in my book...but it's really hard to say which one at this point!!  The thumbprint is very good and I would definitely recommend them and order them again.

All of these cookies were chewy and delicious. The Lemon Coconut lived up to it's name as in flavor!  You could taste both the coconut and the lemon and all of it's goodness!  The Chocolate Fudge cookies were rich and delicious and I loved the caramelized walnut on top!  The thumbprint were good but you have to eat them slow and I was in a hurry to try them :-).  Once I ate a second one and was able to slow down a bit, I could taste banana and nuttiness!

These chips were superb!  As you can see, I couldn't hardly wait to get the bag open!
They are spicy and crunchy and salty and ....VERY SATISFYING!  Terra did not disappoint with this new flavor.  If you have not tried them, make this your first flavor and you won't be sorry!!

Barney Butter

I was so excited when I finally found Barney Butter!  I've read and heard so much about it that I just couldn't wait to get my hands on some.  For those of you who live in the local area, I found it at Whole Foods last week and today I saw it at Publix.  At Publix it was in the larger jar, just like the typical peanut butter sized jar.  And by the way, it's found near the peanut butter.

So, what is Barney Butter you ask?  It is an almond butter.  And I just had to find out what all the hype was about.  And let me tell you, it's not just for people who cannot eat peanut butter! It is the most delicious Almond Butter I have tried.  It is smooth and creamy and has the texture of regular peanut butter.  Some Almond Butter's I've tried in the past were very gritty, but not BARNEY!
